Washed Sharp sand is often referred to as Concrete sand or Grit sand. With its larger grains than the Building sand at 0/4mm it is suitable for a number of general building applications such as laying under slabs and block paving to give a stable base as well as screeding and external rendering.
The coverage of the sand very much depends on the ground conditions and how thickly it has been laid.
